Our experienced counselors Ana Amato and Mimi Rea work as a team to help students gain admission to colleges where they will grow academically, personally and as contributors to society.
Ana Amato graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Psychology and completed her Masterís in Education at UCSB. Her experiences include 4 years of high school and middle school counseling. While at UCLA, she wrote a psychology research manual that is used worldwide by over 30 universities. Her work has been translated into Japanese, Spanish, and German. She has published scholarly articles and is a Psychology Research Consultant at various universities including Stanford and UCLA. She has taught seminar classes at UCLA, Yale, Hamilton University in Canada, Oslo University in Norway, and the Max Plank Institute in Munich, Germany. Ana guided her two daughters through the college application process (one is at USC, the other at Stanford) and is greatly looking forward to helping you reach your goals.
Mimi Rea graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics and completed her Masterís in Education at San Jose State University. Her experience includes college counseling at Stanford University and San Jose State, academic advising at College of San Mateo and West Valley College, and high school advising. Mimi has designed and taught community college classes in career development and assessment. She is a mom to three fantastic kidsóone who just graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. Mimiís experience as a college counselor, academic advisor, and instructor of college students has given her uncommon insight into the kinds of challenges that present themselves to bright, accomplished young people as they approach adulthood.
